- Mainly the Map took a long time to load and all the animal cages, washrooms, restrooms and other places in the zoo were not included in the zoo. So we decided that a clear map which includes all the important places in the zoo should be used when designing the interfaces.

Option 1 Option 2
Option 3
Option Selected : Option 1
- Option 1 was selected because when you press the "+" sign you can navigate to other sections and when it pops out the other sections, the map won't get hidden. So it is more flexible and mobile users are more used to that kind of an interface.
2) How the GPS map shows the current location of the user.
- When we were doing the contextual inquiry, our user was not able to see the exact current location that he was in the zoo. We came up with options that gives the zoo visitor a clear idea about the current location. So the user will be able to walk around in the zoo without getting lost.

option 3
Option Selected : Option 2
- We have decided to go with the option one as it shows the important locations in the map and your current location with an arrow head pointed to the location. Users can search for the place they want to go as well.
3) Upload Image
- An error message was shown when the user was trying to capture an image and upload and also when the user was trying to select an image from the gallery and upload. And also there was no option to see the photos the user had uploaded.

option 1 Option 2 option 3
Option Selected : Option 3
- We decided to select the third option because we thought it'd be easy for the user if he/she could see the picture they uploaded and when you touch on the plus sign, user will be able to see the pictures in the zoo gallery. 1st option doesn't have any feature like that and the second option doesn't let the user to preview the image uploaded by them.
4) Searching for animal information
Option Selected : Option 2
- The most important thing is having a search bar so the users can search different animals by their names. Then in the option 2 we have categorized the animal groups as Amphibians, Birds etc. So it will be more easy for the user when they look for animals in the category that particular animal belongs to. And also having a larger image of the animal would be eye catching and user can scroll and see whether the animal they are looking for is there, even if they don't know the name of the animal. And an icon is used in front of the animal category, to increase the understandability.
5) Viewing zoo News
- There wasn't anything in the daily special zoo news section and it was just a blank interface with a background color. We decided to enhance the user friendliness by adding images.
Option Selected : Option 1
- When you cage the news item with an image and its title it'd be more clear for the user and it will not look like it's scattered.
6) Zoo Events
- The existing app doesn't give any sort of notifications, when the users subscribed to an event. An it doesn't show time the event starts We decided to have an interface which shows all the events with time, date and images and the users can subscribe to them and they can get notifications. And also they can check the location the event takes place, with the help of the zoo map.

Option 1 Option 2 Option 3
Option Selected : Option 1
We have chosen the first option so we can give a brief description about the event with images and in the other two options, the details are not as clear as in the first option and the details will be displayed in a small area. And also in the first option 1 you can easily swipe and go to the calender and see future zoo events.
7) Home Page
- Our user found it difficult to navigate from one screen to another several times as there was no easy option to go to the home page or to another screen without pressing on icons and buttons many times. So we decided to come up with a proper home page to enhance the user experience.

Option 1 Option 2 Option 3
Option Selected : Option 1
- We have chosen to go with the first option as it is more convenient for Android users and majority of the people use Android mobiles. And on the top left corner of all the interface there will be an icon which can navigate the user to the home page from any interface.
8) Booking a zoo event.
- In our contextual inquiry user was unable to book an event (adding it to shopping cart) and then edit it again easily as the current . So we came up with an interface which can make it easy for the user. And also pricing details were not displayed for the user. The current quantity in the cart was not shown either.

Option 1 Option 2 Option 3
Option Selected : Option 3
- Option one shows all the pricing details, the current quantity in the cart and the interface can be more clear to the user as all the information is not bundled up together and displayed.
9) Viewing the shopping cart.
- In the existing application the total price cannot be seen after you order products and you can't edit easily after you ordered a product. So to over come those issues we came up with three designs as given below,\

Option 1 Option 2 Option 3
- We decided to select the third option as it gives the user more functions like it lets the user not only to view the shopping cart but also to check out and go to the payment page and it shows the user the number of products bought with the total. And also user can see the existing quantity and he/she can edit as well. And as it has 4 tiles in a screen, user will not have to scroll down to see the total and their other bought items.
10) Making the payment
- User couldn't make the payment successfully and an error occurred when the user tried to pay. The app didn't ask for payment details either and the total to be payed was not shown as well.
![]() |
Option 1 Option 2 Option 3
- We decided to choose the option 1 as it looks more attractive and clear with the triangle shaped notification labels and this shows whether the payments was successful and it has an option which enables the user to get an email of the payment. The other two options look too common though they have similar functions.
11) The splash screen
- Additionally we thought of having a better splash screen as the current one looks cluttered and does not focus on the main aspects that should be included in the splash screen also it takes time to load the application since some functionality's inside the app takes time to load.

Option 1 Option 2 Option 3
- We thought of selecting the picture with the elephant as it is eye catching and elephant is a favorite animal of any animal lover without a doubt. And also it gives the idea of a "zoo" when you see elephants.
